In July 2023, Inspirato for Good hosted a webinar with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), moderated by Jenna Bush Hager, host of NBC’s TODAY with Hoda & Jenna and founder of TODAY’s Read with Jenna book club.

Jenna spoke about her decades of philanthropic experience fundraising both domestically and abroad for noteworthy organizations including UNICEF. Today, she takes every opportunity her schedule allows to speak during live events on behalf of nonprofits.

Jenna noted that during COVID, live events went away—making us appreciate our time together now even more. “Stories can be told over the internet, but there’s something about community and connection where we all are in the same space together that leads to more engagement,” said Jenna.

Krista Morton, Vice President of Inspirato for Good, elaborated on how live events are an integral part of any nonprofit’s fundraising strategy. “Live events offer an incredible opportunity to accelerate goals by creating excitement, urgency, and fun competition with donors. It also offers a chance to connect with the audience by appealing to the donors’ emotions and appreciating their support real time,” said Krista.

In the past year, Inspirato for Good has participated in more than 800 live events and raised more than $6 million for nonprofits around the world. Inspirato for Good packages have raised tens of thousands of dollars in mere minutes at select events. That’s because travel packages appeal to donors across all age groups and demographics.

“Travel is more than just vacations. It’s experiencing different cultures, different types of people,” said Jenna.
